The R2 series uses Radio Frequency Identification technology. Mechanically, it is designed for hotel and dormitory use so that it can work in difficult conditions for a long time.

Alplock R2 has a different arm connection mechanism than its competitors, which is both comfortable and very robust. The lever opening angle is very low, so the door opens with a light touch. It is easily used by guests as a hotel lock.

R2 uses the original Philips NXP Mifare 13.56Mhz Chipset and Texas Instruments Processor. The circuit is covered with silicon for outdoor use.

The cards used with Anti-Cloning technology cannot be copied. The high cryptographic dongle also prevents the software from being copied or running elsewhere. Each hotel is differentiated from the others with 3-layer encryption.

R2 also has a hidden mechanical key that allows the lock to be opened in case of emergency. Hotel management can open the lock in case of emergency with the master key.
